Determination von Platymeris spec. "Mombo"
Die aus Westafrika importierte und unter dem Namen Platymeris spec. "Mombo" geführte Raubwanzenart wurde bestimmt. Es handelt sich um Platymeris rhadamanthus in der Form, welche der Originalbeschreibung von GERSTAECKER 1873 entspricht. Allerdings ist diese Determination ausschließlich für die von T. Vinmann aus Guinea eingeführten Tiere gültig. Ob es sich bei den aus Ostafrika stammenden Wanzen ebenfalls um P. rhadamanthus handelt, konnte leider nicht festgestellt werden, da keine Tiere zur Verfügung standen.
Bei den bisher unter diesem Namen geführten Stämmen, handelt es sich nach DISTANT 1878 ebenfalls um P. rhadamanthus. Inwiefern es sich hierbei tatsächlich um diese oder eine andere Art handelt, muss noch festgestellt werden. Zur Klärung dieser Frage sind Kreuzungsversuche und weitere morphologische Untersuchungen geplant.
